NZ election results 2026
Live results from 7pm on Saturday 7 November 2026, as the Electoral Commission counts the votes: the party vote, the seats each party wins under MMP, and every electorate.
When the results come in
- 7pm, Saturday 7 November: voting closes and preliminary results start. Advance votes are usually counted first, then votes cast on the day.
- Through the evening: The Count's live results (this page takes you there from 7pm) update every 30 seconds or so, with the seat count under MMP and a call for each electorate once its lead is safe (how seats are called).
- Friday 27 November: official results, including special votes (about one in five votes in 2023), which can change close seats and the last few list seats.
